Say Goodbye to Dental Anxiety
Our Sedation Dentistry Services
Ideal for minor dental anxiety, nitrous oxide is a clear, odorless, gas inhaled before and during your procedure to induce a calm, relaxed, euphoric state. The effects diminish shortly after the gas is stopped, leaving you able to drive yourself home from your appointment.
Oral Conscious Sedation
A prescription sedative taken one hour prior to your visit, oral sedation places you in a deeper state of relaxation, with little-to-no memory of your procedure. It is effective for minor to moderate cases of dental anxiety, but does take a few hours to wear off. You must have an adult companion drive you to and from your appointment.
IV Conscious Sedation
Administered intravenously, IV sedation dentistry is often recommended for lengthy procedures or in cases of severe dental anxiety. Patients who undergo IV sedation dentistry at our practice report how easy and pain-free their visits are, and often have no recollection of their procedures. An adult companion is required when receiving IV sedation.
Often combined with sedation dentistry services, local anesthetic is administered to treatment areas. The numbing agent blocks pain receptors that innervate the teeth, bone and soft tissues, and the effects of which typically wear off within a few hours.
